The Power of Your Words

James 3:1-12 | Scripture makes it clear that our words matter. They have the power to build up or tear down, to encourage or discourage, to bring life or death. As we study what the Bible says about our speech, we will discover how God calls us to speak to others, about others, and to ourselves. We will also consider the consequences of our words and the abundance of fruit that godly speech can produce.

Congregational Prayer of Adoration
We praise you, O God, Almighty Father.
We praise you, O God, you who are the beloved, true, and only Son.
We praise you, O God, Holy Spirit, Comforter, Lord and Giver of life.
We praise you, O God-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God;
and blessed be your glorious name forever and ever. Amen.
