We’re meant to do life together—to be part of a community where we can grow into who God created us to be. But finding your people can be hard, and being the “new kid” can feel intimidating.
As you participate in an event or serve in one of our ministries, you’ll naturally meet new people and build relationships.
No matter what your interests, skills, or availability, we have a place for you. The next step is to complete our Serve form, and we’ll be in touch. We’re so glad you’re interested in connecting at Chesapeake.
Getting Connected at Chesapeake
There’s no “RIGHT” way to get involved here. But if you’re feeling stuck, here’s what we suggest:
1. Take Starting Point.
Starting Point is a two-week introduction to all things Chesapeake Church. Our Starting Point Group meets on Wednesdays at 7P, and new sessions begin the first week of every month. Free childcare is available.
- Learn what we believe and what’s most important to us.
- Connect with some of our staff members and leaders.
- Discover ways to get plugged in.
- Meet others who are new to our community.
2. Discover your spiritual gifts.
God equips each of us with unique skills and passions. We call these “spiritual gifts.” When we use these gifts, we feel most fulfilled because we’re living out God’s purpose for our lives.
Your spiritual gifts are a huge asset to your life and to the people around you. Once you know what those gifts are, you can get involved in ways that honor God and also feel good to you.
3. Engage in ministry.
At Chesapeake Church, there’s a place and purpose for you. Whether you’re young or old, male or female, single or married, a long-time church goer or new to the whole church thing, we can help you connect with people to walk alongside you on your journey.
Joining one of our ministry teams is a great way to get involved.
