Ruth | Redeemed to Royalty

Ruth is presented to us in the Bible as a woman born as an outsider, who eventually becomes part of the genealogy of King David and, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This series is intended to show how Ruth represents all believers who, as born sinners, start life as outsiders but eventually become children of the King and Creator of the universe.

Maternal Destiny

Ruth 4 | Ruth will eventually become King David's great-grandmother and an ancestor to Jesus Christ. But she must first walk through the door of the kinsman-redeemer. What does the latter have to do with Ruth's and our redemption?

Congregational Prayer of Thanksgiving
Most merciful Father, from Whom come all the blessings of light, and Who is still near to us even in darkness: we praise and thank You for all the ways You show Your goodness to us, and also for those times when Your love is hidden from our sight. We thank You for Your holy Word given to Your Church, for the faith it has passed down through generations, and for Your mercies that have strengthened and comforted our souls. For these blessings and all Your other gifts, we thank You, Father, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
