Hosea

The Book of Hosea is credited to one of the 12 "minor prophets" included in the Old Testament. While they're called the "minor prophets," the name refers to the length of their writings-not the importance of their message. These prophets have much to teach us about God and His people. Hosea brings a strong word of conviction for the Israelites but also a message of hope and redemption.

Most merciful Father, from whom all the blessings of light come, and who remain near even in darkness: we give You all praise and thanks for every way You have acted toward us that shows Your goodness, and also for those ways in which Your love is hidden from our sight. We thank you for Your holy Word given to your Church, for the faith it has passed down from generation to generation, and for the mercies that have comforted and strengthened our hearts. For these and all Your other gifts, we thank You, O Father, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
