All throughout the Bible, from cover to cover, God tell us to remember Who He is and what He is has done for us. Indeed God also tells us that He will never forget His promises to us. And yet, throughout the Bible and to this day, we do forget God’s promises, Who God is and all He has already done for us. This forgetting is a great source of our sorrow, discontentment and brokenness. This week we learn not only why we forget, but more importantly, how we can always remember.
God is always working in the hearts and lives of His people. He is always working for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Even in the midst of challenging times – seasons of change and growth, we can rest in that truth. For nothing – not death, nor life, nor angels, nor the present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing – will be able to separate us from the love of God, Christ Jesus our Lord. If God be for us, who can be against us?
