Join us for Family Summer Olympics
On Friday, July 29th, come out for a fun summer night on Chesapeake’s campus for Family Summer Olympics.
That evening, your family will compete against other families in Olympic-themed events including Tug-A-War, Human Ring Toss, Fly Swatter Golf, and more. While it is guaranteed to be a good time, the underlying theme of the evening will be perseverance where your family, through competition, how to keep going even while facing difficulties.
“At Chesapeake, we are passionate about equipping families to grow closer to God, grow closer as a family, and grow closer to others in our community. Family Summer Olympics will be a great way for families to meet new people and to learn about perseverance in a fun way that will stick!” says Julie Hawkins, Community Events Staff Leader.
This FREE event is open to the entire community, you do not have to attend Chesapeake to attend Family Summer Olympics. Registration is required, you can register here.
Family Summer Olympics Awards & Schedule
It wouldn’t be a proper Olympics without talking about the best-designed uniforms. We are giving away awards for Best Team Spirit and Best Dressed to the most spirited and creative teams so, get creative with your team names and uniforms!
Family Summer Olympics will begin with an Opening Ceremony at 6:00 PM. You and your family will receive a free hot dog and bag of chips and have their choice of free refreshments, including water and lemonade. There will also be the Lucky Dog Ice food truck serving snow cones that you can purchase.
