What’s in a name? Well, in the case of the Name above all names, a whole lot. The third commandment is more often scrutinized – and more often ignored – than most of us realize. Because this commandment goes well beyond the words that come out of our mouths. In the end, the words we use reveal what is in our hearts.

Having liberated the Israelites from Egyptian slavery, God’s true desire was that His people would live for Him. And so, God gave us a roadmap for life: The Ten Commandments. A roadmap that not only shows the way to a productive life, but which ultimately shows us the way to our Savior, Jesus Christ.
