2 Peter 3:1-18 | Peter encourages believers to remain faithful in a world that rejects God's promises and challenges their faith. He reminds us that God's timing is perfect, His promises are certain, and His patience is an expression of His desire for people to come to repentance. As we wait for Christ's return, we are called to make every effort to live out our lives in holiness, godliness and perseverance, trusting that God is at work even when circumstances seem uncertain.
CONGREGATIONAL PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING
Almighty and most merciful Father, from whom every good and perfect gift comes, we praise you and give you sincere thanks for all your mercies: for your goodness that created us, your generosity that sustains us, your fatherly discipline that has corrected and guided us, your patience that has endured us, and your love that redeemed us. Give us, along with your gifts, hearts that love you, and help us show our gratitude by offering ourselves to your service and taking joy in doing your blessed will, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
