SUMMER IN THE PSALMS

The Psalms have been called “the prayer book of the Bible.” We remember that Jesus died on the cross with a psalm on His lips, a prayer to His Father on behalf of a sinful and rebellious world. The Psalms not only, then, speak to the character and will of God, but also teach us how to commune with Him, talk with Him, and, most importantly, listen to Him in the varied circumstances of our lives.

PSALM 1

Psalm 1 | The beginning of the collection of Psalms starts with a simple seeming call within six verses: stay in God's Word and be blessed or associate with wicked people and you'll become wicked. But as we'll see, there is a lot more packed into these verses upon closer examination, and more ways to apply them to our lives today.
