Sermon Series: Rocks and Stones

As Jesus was entering Jerusalem on the day we call “Palm Sunday,” the crowds were proclaiming His Glory. When the Pharisees told Jesus to quiet His followers, Jesus responded by saying, “I tell you, if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.” As we celebrate Profession of Faith Baptisms, we acknowledge that our own hearts of stone become hearts of flesh as we cry out, “Jesus is Lord!”

The Narrow Gate

Small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life. Only a few find it. And once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, people will be on the outside looking in. A hard truth, and one of the most difficult and challenging teachings ever given by Jesus. Yet buried within this foreboding warning is an incredible promise.
