Sermon Series: Rocks and Stones

As Jesus was entering Jerusalem on the day we call “Palm Sunday,” the crowds were proclaiming His Glory. When the Pharisees told Jesus to quiet His followers, Jesus responded by saying, “I tell you, if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.” As we celebrate Profession of Faith Baptisms, we acknowledge that our own hearts of stone become hearts of flesh as we cry out, “Jesus is Lord!”

The Connection

Acts 2:42 describes what marked the community of believers in the early church. Prayer is listed as one of those markers. The act of prayer draws us into an intimate communion with God and with our brothers and sisters. Prayer grows our faith, calms our anxieties, and strengthens our trust in the Father. Join us as we consider our devotion to prayer both individually and corporately.
