Sermon Series: Rocks and Stones

As Jesus was entering Jerusalem on the day we call “Palm Sunday,” the crowds were proclaiming His Glory. When the Pharisees told Jesus to quiet His followers, Jesus responded by saying, “I tell you, if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.” As we celebrate Profession of Faith Baptisms, we acknowledge that our own hearts of stone become hearts of flesh as we cry out, “Jesus is Lord!”

In desperation, a severely ill woman touches the hem of Jesus' cloak hoping to be healed. Jesus' asks, "Who touched Me?" And we read that she, ". . .told Him the whole truth." And, in that moment she is healed. Confession is good for the soul we're told, yet how often do we not tell God, "the whole truth?"
