Sermon Series: Rocks and Stones

As Jesus was entering Jerusalem on the day we call “Palm Sunday,” the crowds were proclaiming His Glory. When the Pharisees told Jesus to quiet His followers, Jesus responded by saying, “I tell you, if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.” As we celebrate Profession of Faith Baptisms, we acknowledge that our own hearts of stone become hearts of flesh as we cry out, “Jesus is Lord!”

The Power of It

There is nothing in the world more powerful than love. Love changes hearts, it changes minds, it changes lives. Love is strong. True love cannot be forced or manipulated – it must be freely given and freely received. That’s love that changes people. And it doesn’t come from us. Love like that can only come from the One who first loved us. That we might see and live in the power of loving people.
