Cut Off Your Hand & Gouge Out Your Eye
If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. If your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off. If your eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. These words were actually spoken by Jesus. And in so doing He gives us a glimpse at how much our sin offends and grieves the heart God. It’s a hard teaching that sets an impossible standard. One that puts us on a collision course with the cross.
