On a Mission

Since Genesis 1 God’s promise has been to fill all the earth with His presence and glory, for peoples from all the nations to know Him. Through the Gospel of Jesus Christ this mission is now coming to fruition! Thus, we journey now with Paul through the rest of the book of Acts as Jew and Gentile alike across the ancient world hear the offer of salvation proclaimed all the way to Rome itself.

Jesus' birth wasn't announced to those we would have expected. The host of angels didn't come to the head priests or the leaders of the Jews; they appeared to lowly shepherds. God announced His Son's birth to the most unlikely people, showing His love for all of humanity, His desire for all to know Him. The star of Bethlehem reminds us that the Gospel isn't just for the religious, for the neat and tidy. The Good News of Jesus' birth, His death, and His resurrection is for all people.
