God Himself established and sanctified marriage. In fact, throughout scripture, God uses marriage as an analogy of Christ’s perfect love and commitment to us, His church. So have we really reduced marriage to a competition or a status symbol? Are we willing to admit that the picture-perfect marriage doesn’t exist? For even in our imperfections, marriage can still be a beautiful thing. Deeper than the “picture-perfect,” real-life marriages grounded in Christ have Kingdom purpose, which the world cannot steal.
