Asking for a friend

Just the fact that God is infinite means there’s going to be a lot about Him, His Word, and His world that we don’t understand. But there are some particular questions that both the believer and non-believer commonly ask. The good news is that, while we may never be able to have all our curiosities addressed, God does want us to ask because He has the answers!

The End Of Captivity (Luke 4:18-19)

In a dramatic moment in a synagogue in Nazareth, Jesus stood up to read from the prophet Isaiah and declared: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me because He has anointed Me to preach the good news . . .” That moment launched His ministry of preaching good news to the poor, freedom to the oppressed, sight to the blind, and release to the captives. But even more so than ending physical poverty, oppression, blindness, or captivity, Jesus came to end spiritual captivity.
