Are You Here?
Sometimes in relationships, whether it be due to exhaustion, hurt, or just apathy, we find ourselves just going through the motions. We’re here, without actually being here. Church can be just the same way, where we’re in the routine, but not actually committed with all our mind, strength, soul, and body. Where do we need to be as Chesapeake Church? The Rocks & Stones
As Jesus was entering Jerusalem on the day we call "Palm Sunday", the crowds were proclaiming His Glory. When the Pharisees told Jesus to quiet His followers, Jesus responded by saying "I tell you, if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out." As we celebrate Profession of Faith Baptisms we acknowledge that our own hearts of stone become hearts of flesh as we cry out, "Jesus is Lord!"
