FIREWOOD FOR FAMILIES

April 12 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
GALATIANS 5:14

FIREWOOD FOR FAMILIES

Heating and electricity costs are up, making it harder for our neighbors to keep their homes warm during the winter. Each year, we help by sawing, splitting, and delivering FREE firewood. This not only provides warmth they can feel, but more importantly, gives us the chance to show them that Christ’s love is real.

Will you help us? We shine the light of the Gospel brighter when we do it together. For the spring edition of this event, we will be cutting and stacking firewood on campus in preparation for upcoming winter deliveries. Come join us for the morning!

When registering to serve, please let us know if you have a log splitter or chainsaw you can bring and operate to support our efforts. We thank you in advance for doing so! As always, we’ll ensure there’s plenty of good food for you to enjoy during the event.

Safety is a top priority! Please review all SAFETY NOTICES on our Serve From and complete the required DIGITAL LIABILITY WAIVER during registration. For participants under 18, a parent or guardian must sign the waiver.

This is a great way for families to serve together. If you have children who are too young to participate, free childcare is available-you can RSVP for that when you sign up to serve.

Summit Men

We are the Men’s Ministry of Chesapeake Church. Our mission is to glorify God by being the hands and feet of Jesus in our homes, church, and the communities He calls us to serve. We seek to build a brotherhood of fully devoted Christ followers whose lives are transformed by the Word. Through the work of the Holy Spirit, we strive to grow in Christ, passionately share the Gospel, live out an active faith that compels us to serve and love others, and, most importantly, draw close to our Heavenly Father.

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
