Welcome To Chesapeake Church

Christmas at Chesapeake

christmas at chesapeake

Jesus’ birth wasn’t announced to those we would have expected. The host of angels didn’t come to the head priests or the leaders of the Jews; they appeared to lowly shepherds.

God announced His Son’s birth to the most unlikely people, showing His love for all of humanity, His desire for all to know Him.

The star of Bethlehem reminds us that the gospel isn’t just for the religious, for the neat and tidy. The good news of Jesus birth, His death, and His resurrection is for all people.

We are eager to welcome you and your family to Chesapeake as we celebrate the birth of Jesus together. On December 24, we will have two identical services at 2P & 4P. Full children’s programming will be provided for infants through 5th grade during both of our services.

As we do every Christmas, we encourage you to attend one service and serve at another. Christmas is especially a great opportunity for entire families to serve together and to teach your children the value of serving others.

…they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.

Common Questions

What should I wear?

You won’t feel out of place whether you’re wearing jeans or a jacket and tie. So just wear whatever makes you feel comfortable!

Can I bring my kids?

Yes! Full children’s programming will be provided for infants – 5th grade during all of our services.

Where do I take my kids?

When entering the building from the parking lot, the Children’s entrance is the one to the left. You can also enter the children’s wing from the main lobby by walking down the ramp and heading down the hallway to the left. Don’t worry, there will be people there to guide you!
