SUMMER IN THE PSALMS

The Psalms have been called “the prayer book of the Bible.” We remember that Jesus died on the cross with a psalm on His lips, a prayer to His Father on behalf of a sinful and rebellious world. The Psalms not only, then, speak to the character and will of God, but also teach us how to commune with Him, talk with Him, and, most importantly, listen to Him in the varied circumstances of our lives.

But the new world which Jesus has ushered in changes the meaning of daily lives, especially the home and the workplace. Here is where the reality of the Kingdom of God should be most on display to one another and to a non-believing world.
