SUMMER IN THE PSALMS

The Psalms have been called “the prayer book of the Bible.” We remember that Jesus died on the cross with a psalm on His lips, a prayer to His Father on behalf of a sinful and rebellious world. The Psalms not only, then, speak to the character and will of God, but also teach us how to commune with Him, talk with Him, and, most importantly, listen to Him in the varied circumstances of our lives.

Where the Rubber Meets the Road

It's one thing to say we are a Christian, but following Jesus is a life of faith, constantly dying to oneself and one's way of thinking. In the glory of Jesus' transfiguration, we see the cost of discipleship and begin to see what it looks like in the Christian life for the rubber to meet the road.
