SUMMER IN THE PSALMS

The Psalms have been called “the prayer book of the Bible.” We remember that Jesus died on the cross with a psalm on His lips, a prayer to His Father on behalf of a sinful and rebellious world. The Psalms not only, then, speak to the character and will of God, but also teach us how to commune with Him, talk with Him, and, most importantly, listen to Him in the varied circumstances of our lives.

Why Worship a God Who is Only Focused on His Own Glory?

Is the God of the Bible self-centered, selfish, and narcissistic, or is there something greater about this God and Who He is that embodies the reason He calls us fully to Himself? The call to love God with all of our heart, mind, and soul and the commandment to have no other god before the true and living God sets the tone for the order by which we are to live and principles of our Christian living.
