Chesapeake Ministries
        December 15 & 16, 2018

welcome

We are so glad you are here. We hope that you find Chesapeake a welcoming community where you and your family can grow in your faith journey with Jesus Christ.

chesapeake church

At the heart of who we are, we are first and foremost a worship community. Our weekend services are designed to help the church learn to be the church. We believe that the local church is the hope of the world and God’s chosen instrument for redemption. Through serving, discipleship classes and Community Life events, we hope to bring life to our vision of a growing Biblical community.

this week at the food pantry

Chesapeake Cares Food Pantry served 981 families (9 were new), equaling 2,225 people receiving support. A total of 95 volunteers served for 211 hours, distributing 25,291 pounds of food & household items to people in need.

honduras compassion partners

La Paz, Honduras, is where God has called our church to do international ministry. Our goal in 2019 is to send 24 teams of 10 to La Paz to provide clean water, educational services, sanitary bathroom options, basic home
improvements and medical care & support to the poor, distressed and underprivileged. Planting our international ministry in one place allows us to build long-term relationships and partnerships with the people of La Paz.

end hunger in calvert county

Feeding the hungry is one of the most declared commands throughout scripture. Together with our 73 Partner Feeding Organizations, End Hunger In Calvert County facilitates the distribution of over 1 MILLION pounds of food to 15,000 people in our community every year. End Hunger is an Accredited Charity of the Better Business Bureau for meeting all 20 Standards of Charitable Accountability.

the lobby coffee bar

The Lobby Coffee Bar is where all our initiatives work together. The Lobby is a full-service non-profit coffee bar open to the public. We serve Honduran blends of coffee and many of the employees are trained through End Hunger’s Culinary Training Program. Proceeds directly support the missions of both Honduras Compassion Partners and End Hunger In Calvert County.
