Firewood For Families
Firewood For Families is another great opportunity to reach our Southern Maryland community. With the cost of heating fuel and electricity continually rising, some folks struggle to heat their homes and cook food. Our Summit Men's Ministry have chosen to battle this struggle by sawing, splitting and delivering FREE firewood to some of these families.
Imagine an old-fashioned lumberjack party on a brisk December morning with flannel shirts and axes, barrels of fire and chainsaws buzzing. Dads, moms, sons, daughters, grandparents, friends working side by side. Oh - and don't forget the food!
If splitting wood isn’t your thing, we also need folks to cook and serve our hungry crew.
Firewood For Families Work Days:
The purpose of FFF Work Days is to prepare for the large December event by organizing and gathering wood in smaller teams throughout the year. It is also a great way to connect and serve within Summit.
